The Coronation Restaurant, owned by Alan and Audrey Russell, is situated in the heart of Gorebridge, Midlothian. Known for the generous portions and welcoming staff, you're sure to enjoy your visit.

Alan, whose career in hospitality spawns over 4 decades, purchased the Coronation Restaurant in 2005 and since then it has went from strength to strength. In 2017 it was given a £135,000 renovation which was lead by Audrey and her keen eye for design. In 2018 the restaurant went on to win Restaurant of the Year at the Food and Drink awards. Alan said of the win - "I am absolutely delighted. These are the first awards since I’ve been in the business. It’s quite an achievement when there are so many nominations.” As a result of this the restaurant has gone from strength to strength and we always recommend booking a table to avoid disappointment. 

 

At the helm of the Coronation is manager Michelle Graham. Michelle has worked at the restaurant for 24 years and leads a team of friendly staff who are waiting to welcome you with a smile and first class service. If you have any questions at all, Michelle and her staff are always happy to help.

Behind the scenes In the kitchen you'll find Head Chef, Mark Anderson, who joined the business in 2004. Mark's background in hospitality allows him to bring a range of ideas to the menu and when he's not cooking for customers you'll find him experimenting with new flavours for our specials menu.
